UTAS is a breastfeeding-friendly workplace
Breastfeeding is welcomed and actively supported at the University of Tasmania.
Staff and students are supported to manage parenting responsibilities and their work or study commitments. UTAS does this by providing:
- A variety of flexible working options
- Paid parental leave
- Breastfeeding rooms on campuses
- On-site childcare on some campuses
Parents are welcome to feed their children wherever they feel comfortable on campus. Private spaces are also available to breastfeed or express milk.
